RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN MDS COORDINATOR:

• Monitors and guides the completion of assessments in a timely manner

• Involvement and supervision of inputting of MDS assessments, the transmission to the state, and obtains receipt of the validation

• Make written or oral reports/recommendations to the Director as necessary/required, concerning the operation of the nursing service department.

• Participates in facility surveys and audits made by authorized governmental agencies as requested by the Administrator or DON.

QUALIFICATIONS OF AN MDS COORDINATOR:

• Must hold a Nursing Degree from an accredited school.

• Must have an active license as an RN.

• Experience preferred, not required.
