DONATIONS SPECIALIST– FRONT ROYAL, VA – Position Summary
The Thrift Donation Specialist is responsible for providing excellent customer service by receiving and processing donated goods. This position will honor the donors and contribute to building relationships with those in our communities as well as, positively impact our guests, donors, and the communities in which we operate.
DONATIONS SPECIALIST– FRONT ROYAL, VA – Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Supervises donation room.
· Takes in donations from donors and gives receipts.
· Works closely with volunteers to ensure volunteers can assist in the operations of the thrift store.
· Maintains customer service priority with each donation.
· Keeps Donation Room clean and organized.
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
· Ensures Back Room is in compliance with safety for volunteers and staff.
· Vacuums and mops floors in shop, sales floor and donation room.
· Cleans bathroom.
· Maintains area outside of the shop, keeping it free of trash and debris, shovels snow, as needed, keeps grass cut and maintains gravel and trench.
· Respects the autonomy and right to confidentiality of all patients and families.
· Assists with deliveries and pick-ups of large items as well as loading and unloading trucks.
· Acts independently and responsibly to perform job duties on a consistent basis.
· Sensitive to the stressors experienced by colleagues in working with hospice patients, their families and the general public.
· Carries out the mission and values of Blue Ridge Hospice.
· Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working order. Must be willing to travel the entire service area.
DONATIONS SPECIALIST– FRONT ROYAL, VA – Qualifications/Experience
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Computer literacy preferred/willingness to learn required.
· Retail and customer service preferred.
