The Gatesworth, a locally owned Independent Senior Living community with multiple US News Best Awards and STL Headliner Awards, is seeking a Full-time Maintenance Technician to join our award-winning team.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, including a weekend rotation and mandatory on-call evening/overnight shifts approximately once per month.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and emergency repairs, including equipment, carpentry, plumbing, and minor HVAC.

• Complete resident work orders promptly and efficiently.

• Maintain common areas and grounds to ensure a clean and safe environment.

• Assist with apartment turnovers.

• Adhere to safety procedures and participate in ongoing training.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).

• 2-5 years of building maintenance experience (required).

• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficiency in written and spoken English is required.

• Physical requirements:

  • Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. frequently and push/pull up to 80 lbs.

  • Ability to bend, climb, and communicate effectively with residents

  • Adequate hearing and vision

Position Wage: DOE, Starting at $25/hr.
